Marshall signs agreement with local STEM high school for dual credit

HUNTINGTON — Marshall University has entered into an agreement with Tri-State STEM+M, a fully accredited 9th-12th grade public high school with STEM designation from the Ohio Department of Education, to offer dual credit college courses to its students. West Virginia students trek to Ohio daily for STEM+M education

Toren Black, 15, is one of seven West Virginia students who cross the border for school each day. He drives about 20 minutes from his home in Wayne County to Tri-State STEM+M, a school located in a former warehouse off of Route 52 in South Point, Ohio. It opened in August.
